This Czech Pro Team has been an active player in Ski Classics for many years. For Season XV, the squad relies on homegrown and international talents, as four athletes are from the Czech Republic, supplemented by experienced and young skiers from other countries.

Comprising seven Pro Team athletes (four women and three men) from the Czech Republic, Sweden, Germany, and Chinese Taipei, the Vltava Fund Ski Team has a long tradition in Ski Classics and is one of the best non-Scandinavian Pro Teams every year.

Josef Korhoň, Pro Team Director, describes the Pro Team’s approach: “The Vltava Fund Ski Team has a long tradition in Ski Classics and is one of the best non-Scandinavian teams every year. The core of the team consists of leading Czech skiers. They are then supplemented by both experienced and young skiers from other countries (historically Finland, Sweden, Switzerland, Germany),” says Korhoň and adds:

“The team maintains a high performance in the long term and has a stable organizational and sponsor background.”

The Pro Team Director outlines their goals and aspirations for Ski Classics Season XV: “The team’s ambition is a top 10 overall at the Pro Team competition, two women in the top 10 overall, and a top 20 finish in the men’s individual races. The team plans to compete in all Ski Classics races.”

Josef Korhoň highlights some of the team’s key strengths: “The Vltava Fund Ski Team has several athletes at the peak of their careers and have considerable experience from Ski Classics races. The service team also has many years of experience. Traditionally, the level of ski servicing is a strong asset in the team.”

With a solid Pro Team for Ski Classics Season XV: Sandra Schützová (1991), Hedda Bångman (1995), Sophia Velicer (1999), Karolína Bícová (1978), Jan Šrail (1990), Fabián Štoček (1994), and Johannes Kuchl (2002), we will surely see the colors of the Vltava Fund Ski Team well represented in every event in the upcoming winter season, and fighting tooth and nail for the title of the best Czech Pro Team in Season XV.
