In a press release early today, Birken has confirmed the start of Therese Johaug at the Birkebeinerrenet. The Visma Ski Classics event takes place on Saturday, March 19, in Norway.

HURRA! Finally came the message we had been waiting for. Therese Johaug will start in the Birkebeinerrennet next weekend. There she will fight for the victory with Marit Bjørgen as a teammate. This is confirmed by Team Ragde Charge boss Jørgen Aukland.

Good to remember that Therese Johaug won Birkebeinerrennet in 2015 and has a track record of 02:41:46.
