Sovereign 2 SilverStar Ski Marathon Classic 2025

The Ski Classics Challengers event, Sovereign 2 SilverStar Ski Marathon Classic, took place last Saturday with a 40km long-distance skiing race in classic technique in Vernon, Canada. Check out the results.

After a day full of action, the Ski Classics Challengers event in Canada, Sovereign 2 SilverStar Ski Marathon Classic, saw Anikken Gjerde Alnæs, Team Engcon, and Oskar Kardin, Lager 157 Ski Team, winning their respective races with solid performances.

Sovereign 2 SilverStar Ski Marathon Classic – Women’s Race

In the women’s event, the winner, Anikken Gjerde Alnæs, Team Engcon, completed the race in a time of 2:06:18.9.

Katherine Stewart-Jones, Nakkertok Nordique (QC), finished in second place, 6:18.5 behind, followed by Katie Weaver, Hollyburn Ski Club, completing the podium in third position and 9:03.2 back.

Sovereign 2 SilverStar Ski Marathon Classic – Top 3 Women

  1. Anikken Gjerde Alnæs, Team Engcon, 2:06:18.9
  2. Katherine Stewart-Jones, Nakkertok Nordique (QC), +6:18.5
  3. Katie Weaver, Hollyburn Ski Club, +9:03.2

Sovereign 2 SilverStar Ski Marathon Classic – Men’s Race 

In the men’s competition, the winner was Oskar Kardin, Lager 157 Ski Team, with a total time of 1:53:38.1.

Scott Hill, Team Hardwood, finished in second place, 1:29.5 back, followed by Tom Stephen, Foothills Nordic, 1:48.1 behind the winner, and completing the podium in third place.

  1. Oskar Kardin, Lager 157 Ski Team, 1:53:38.1
  2. Scott Hill, Team Hardwood, 1:29.5

In the women’s event, the winner, Katherine Stewart-Jones, Nakkertok Nordique (QC), completed the race in a time of 2:00:07.8.

Alison Mackie, Edmonton Nordic, finished in second place, 1.2 seconds behind, followed by Sonjaa Schmidt, Whitehorse Nordic Ski Society, completing the podium in third position and 1:12:9 back.

  • Katherine Stewart-Jones, Nakkertok Nordique (QC), 2:00:07.8
  • Alison Mackie, Edmonton Nordic, +1.2

In the men’s competition, the winner was Scott Hill, Team Hardwood, with a total time of 1:47:30.4.

Sasha Masson, Whitehorse Nordic Ski Society, finished in second place, 3:16.0 back, followed by Ian Williams, Telemark Nordic, 4:30.3 behind the winner, and completing the podium in third place.

  • Scott Hill, Team Hardwood, 1:47:30.4
  • Sasha Masson, Whitehorse Nordic Ski Society, +3:16.0
  • Ian Williams, Telemark Nordic, +4:30.3
