This Pro Team is gearing up for its first season in Ski Classics. There will be three French Pro Teams for Season XV, and Team Vercors Isère is one of them.

Team Vercors Isère is one of the 35 Pro Teams for Ski Classics Season XV. The French Pro Team is a new squad on the Pro Tour, but they are already well known in France since they are the oldest French Ski Team.

For the upcoming Ski Classics Season XV, the French squad is bringing six Pro Team athletes, two women and four men, all of them from France: Hanna Fine (2000), Margaux Gaillard (2002), Elie Faret (1998), Lucas Gaillard (1999), Yan Belorgey (1997), Benjamin Marguet (1999).

“Team Vercors Isère is the oldest Team in France. It was created in 1998, so it’s the 25th anniversary this year. We always had a double goal: help the traditional cross-country skiers return to the World Cup and perform and win long-distance races in France as a first step,” says Pro Team Director Rémi Salacroup and adds:

“We have been organized this way since the beginning. The idea now is to be open more internationally by going to Ski Classics while maintaining performances in France. We know that Ski Classics is now the unmissable Tour if we want to perform internationally.”

Salacroup highlights the Pro Team’s goals for their first Ski Classics season, saying: “We have young athletes who aspire to improve on the circuit, and the goal for this season is to gain as much experience as possible,” and elaborates about the team’s strengths:

“We are a big family who have been training and staying together for many years. Our strength is our group because our training center and all our athletes come from Vercors. We are young and spontaneous skiers who are discovering a new circuit with great enthusiasm.”
