Electrofit is a company in Finland specializing in providing training programs and ski schools for cross-country ski enthusiasts. The team members are not seriously aiming to score points, but their goal is to challenge themselves and see how far they can go individually.

Maija Hakala has been racing for many years with great results in the past, but she is now more focused on coaching. However, she finished two Pro Tour events last winter: Tartu Maraton and Birkebeinerrennet, with the following results, respectively 28th and 34th. In 2021, she finished 14th in the 30 km skating race at the Finnish National Championships.

Anni Kainulainen is, without a doubt, a name that ski fans in Finland know quite well. She took the bronze medal in the 10 km classics race and the 5th place in the 30 km classic race at the Finnish Nationals. She has also participated in some World Cup races. Her focus will be on qualifying for World Cup races and possibly even for the World Championships, but if her schedule permits, she may reinforce her team in some Pro Tour events.

The third female team member Mervi Vanhakylä is a master skier with no active results in the database.

On the male side, there are six skiers who share the same enthusiasm for skiing. Ville Mäkelä did not race last winter, but the year before, he participated at the Finnish Nationals, finishing outside the top 100. Jussi Häkkinen was much more active than his teammate and was seen in many Ski Classics events. Result-wise, his 73rd place at Tartu Ski Maraton was his best achievement.

Mikael Lähteenmäki and Santeri Ryhänen also kept themselves busy last winter. They completed four Pro Tour events, of which their respective 80th and 71st places at Tartu Ski Maraton were the highest-ranking results. Mathias Höglund finished three Pro Tour events, and Estonia proved to be the best place for him as well since he finished 79th at Tartu Ski Maraton.

Kalle Liukkonen was the most active Ski Classics racer on this team, with seven finished events. His results ranged from 52nd place at Årefjällsloppet to 137th place at Birkebeinerrennet.

These skiers are in it for the love of the sport. They do not seek fame and fortune, nor do they expect to have tall tales to be written about them. They want to spread the good gospel of long-distance skiing and make sure that more people in Finland get into skiing so that they can stay fit and healthy. What more could anyone ask for?
