Syrstad leaving Lager 157 Ski Team

Lager 157 Ski Team announced a few moments ago that Torleif Syrstad is leaving the squad after two seasons with the Swedish Pro Team. What’s next for the Norwegian Pro Team athlete?

Norwegian Pro Team athlete Torleif Syrstad joined the Lager 157 Ski Team two seasons ago and is now leaving the Pro Team.

“We thank Torleif Syrstad for two great seasons in the team. We are very proud of the development Torleif has had in the team during these seasons and wish him good luck in the future,” says a post on social media and added:

“We will never forget the Vasaloppet victory this winter. And probably it wasn’t the last time we see Torleif fighting for the best results in large skiing competitions.”

On snow, Torleif Syrstad had his first Ski Classics Pro Tour wins during Season XV, with victories at both Vasaloppet and the Ski Classics Grand Finale Janteloppet.

Torleif finished Season XV in 11th place overall at the Champion competition, 8th at the Sprint competitions, and 20th at the Climb competition. 

The question now is: What’s next for the Norwegian Pro Team athlete? Which Pro Team is he going to?
