The Ski Classics Challengers event, Lofsdalen Epic, took place this Saturday with a 52.3km long-distance skiing race in classic technique in Lofsdalen, Sweden. Check out the results.

The Ski Classics Challengers event, Lofsdalen Epic, took place this Saturday with a 52.3km long-distance skiing race in classic technique in Lofsdalen, Sweden. Check out the results.

After a day full of action, the Ski Classics Challengers event in Sweden, Lofsdalen Epic, saw a solid fight for the podium places. Stina Nilsson, Team Ragde Charge/Malungs IF, and Johannes Eklöf, Ski Team Göhlins/IF Halby SOK, won their respective races with solid performances.

Lofsdalen Epic – Women’s Race

In the women’s event, the winner, Stina Nilsson, Team Ragde Charge/Malungs IF, completed the race in a time of 2:45:42.6, after a solid solo breakaway.

Hedda Bångman, eD system Vltava Fund Team/Offerdals SK, finished in second place, 2:05.2 behind, followed by Tova Andersson, Team Ramudden, completing the podium in third position and 8:01.9 back.

  1. Stina Nilsson, Team Ragde Charge/Malungs IF, 2:45:42.6
  2. Hedda Bångman, eD system Vltava Fund Team/Offerdals SK, +2:05.2

Lofsdalen Epic – Men’s Race 

In the men’s competition, the winner was, after a tight sprint finish, Johannes Eklöf, Ski Team Göhlins, with a total time of 2:28:29.3.

Markus Hallén Johansson, Team Ramudden/Offerdals SK, finished in second place, 0.5 seconds back, followed by Morten Eide Pedersen, Team Eksjöhus/Lillehammer Skiklub, 1.9 seconds behind the winner, and completing the podium in third place.
