The Ski Classics Challengers event Ring Frei, a long-distance roller ski race in freestyle technique, took place today in Salzburg, Austria. Check out the results.

The Ski Classics Challengers event Ring Frei, a long-distance roller ski race in freestyle technique, took place today in Salzburg, Austria. Check out the results.

After a day of action, the Ski Classics Challengers event Ring Frei saw Laura Stichling, eD system Silvini Team, and Alexander Brandner, Speedmanggeis, win the race with solid performances.

Ring Frei Women’s Race – 30km

In the women’s race, Laura Stichling, eD system Silvini Team, with a total time of 1:05:43.8, won ahead of Laura Groiss, SUB Intersport Pötscher, in second place and 3:05.5 back.

Eva Schmidhofer, Ski-Willy Marathon Team Austria, 3:18.0 behind the winner, finished in third place.

  1. Laura Stichling, eD system Silvini Team, 1:0:43.8
  2. Laura Groiss, SUB Intersport Pötscher, +3:05.5
  3. Eva Schmidhofer, Ski-Willy Marathon Team Austria, +3:18.0

Ring Frei Men’s Race – 42km

In the men’s competition, the winner was Alexander Brandner, Speedmanggeis, with a total time of 1:19:33.1.

Thomas Bing, eD system Silvini Team, finished in second place, 1.4 seconds behind the winner, followed by Lorenz Grüber, Ski-Willy Marathon Team Austria, 6:02.5 back and completing the podium in the third position.

  1. Alexander Brandner, Speedmanggeis, 1:19:33.1
  2. Thomas Bing, eD system Silvini Team, +1.4
  3. Lorenz Grüber, Ski-Willy Marathon Team Austria, +6:02.5

As Ring Frei is a Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team registered athletes could collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective genders.
