Magni Smedås is one of the female stars of Ski Classics. She is also an excellent traditional cross-country skier with two bronze medals at 30km in the Norwegian championships.

The last medal came at the end of last season when Therese Johaug made her comeback. The curious thing is that Johaug and Smedås grew up in the same tiny village, Dalsbygda.

But today, Magni Smedås is living in Lillehammer, and therefore, she was extra happy to win Birkebeinerrennet in her home territory last season.

In this Ski Classics Ski or Die Raw Cut, she also gets very emotional telling about the sudden loss of her father, who died in a car accident. This turned life upside-down for the Norwegian skier. Today, she always takes a photo of him with her.

Magni Smedås goes into this season with a double goal. She wants to qualify for the World Championships in Trondheim 2025, but she also wants to win races in Ski Classics.

She also tells how important Team Eksjöhus and her coach, Marthe Kristoffersen, are to her skiing career.

The full interview with Magni Smedås is available on the Ski Classics Play streaming service.
