Ski Classics, the long-distance ski championship, is gearing up for the release of the Season XVI calendar. Here’s what you need to know.

The Season XVI of Ski Classics Pro Tour will feature 14 events across 10 weekends in 6 different countries, covering a total of 662 racing kilometers. The Tour is set to kick off on December 14, 2024, and the Grand Finale event concludes the Ski Classics Season XVI on March 30, 2025.

“The season release time of the year is always a thrilling one. First, we work hard to create a tour that is as good as possible, then we wait for the feedback and try to learn what and how to improve. When we create a Pro Tour, there are a lot of aspects to consider: how many events the athletes want, how many weekends are suitable for the Pro Teams, how we can have a good balance from start to finish, what the TV partners want, etc., etc.,” says David Nilsson, Director of Ski Classics and adds:

“The calendar launch is together with the updated rules, which are sent to the Pro Teams at the same time, the fundaments of the season to come. And our ambition is that every season should have at least one novelty; Season XVI will have more than one.”
