The SC Ranking saw many changes after the Bad Gastein ITT and Criterium last weekend. Emilie Fleten, Team Ramudden, is the new leader of the SC Ranking, the global ranking system for long-distance skiers, while Emil Persson, Lager 157 Ski Team, is now in second place.

Emil Persson started Season XVI at the top of the SC Ranking. After Bad Gastein ITT and Criterium in Austria last weekend, the Norwegian Pro Team athlete Emilie Fleten is the new leader with 26.067.862 points. 

In the SC Ranking, the global ranking system for long-distance cross-country skiers, Emilie Fleten is followed by Emil Persson in second place, with 25.813.816 points. Kasper Stadaas, Team Ragde Charge, is in third place with 25.223.899 points.

In the top 10, Andreas Nygaard, Team Ragde Charge, is the new top 4 (from 5^th position) with 25.087.182 points, Magni Smedås, Team Eksjöhus, is the new top 7 (from 8th position) with 24.301.057 points, and Amund Riege, Team Ramudden, is moving up from 11^th to 9^th place, with 23.890.354 points. 

Among the Top 10, three Pro Team athletes are from Sweden, and seven are from Norway after the Bad Gastein weekend.

Notable in the top 20 is that Oskar Kardin, Lager 157 Ski Team, is moving up from 16^th to 14^th place; Morten Eide Pedersen, Team Eksjöhus, from 17^th to 16^th position; and Petter Stakston, Team Aker Dæhlie, from 20^th to 19^th place.

The SC Ranking points are calculated on the percentual time as the skier is behind the winning time in their gender with an exponential drop of points. This makes it possible to create one single ranking for both women and men, professional and recreational skiers. 

Each skier can include results from their best 12 races within 24 months. The woman or man with the most points will have the #1 rank. In a Ski Classics Pro Tour event, the winning woman and man receive 2.000.000 points; in a Challengers event, the winners collect 500.000 points.

For the Pro Team athletes, Podium Bonus Points are also awarded to the top three skiers in each gender. A Pro Tour event winner gets 200.000 points, 2nd place brings 100.000 points, and 3rd place awards 40.000 points.

As a registered user, you can filter places based on nationality, age group, and gender by using the Filter Tab on the view set on your page.
