The SC Ranking saw many changes after the 3 Zinnen Ski Marathon and La Venosta ITT Kapron-Melago last weekend. Emilie Fleten, Team Ramudden, is the leader of the SC Ranking, the global ranking system for long-distance skiers, while many changes happened after the weekend.

Emilie Fleten, Team Ramudden, started the Südtirol weekend Season XVI on top of the SC Ranking. After the 3 Zinnen Ski Marathon and La Venosta ITT Kapron-Melago in Italy, the Norwegian Pro Team athlete Emilie Fleten keeps the lead, with 26.173.892 points. 

In the SC Ranking, the global ranking system for long-distance cross-country skiers, Emilie Fleten is now followed by Kasper Stadaas, Team Ragde Charge, in second place, with 25.323.062 points. Emil Persson, Lager 157 Ski Team, is now in third place, with 24.797.082 points.

In the top 10, Magni Smedås, Team Eksjöhus, is the new top 6 (from 7^th position) with 24.301.057 points. Max Novak, Team Aker Dæhlie, is the new top 7 (from 8^th position) with 24.206.627 points, Oskar Kardin, Lager 157 Ski Team, is moving up from 14^th to 8^th place, with 23.785.734 points, and Torleif Syrstad, Team Engcon, is the new top 10, moving from 11^th place, with 23.678.392 points.

Among the Top 10, three Pro Team athletes are from Sweden, and seven are from Norway after the Südtirol weekend.

Get to know how the SC Ranking system works!

The SC Ranking points are calculated on the percentual time as the skier is behind the winning time in their gender with an exponential drop of points. This makes it possible to create one single ranking for both women and men, professional and recreational skiers. 

Each skier can include results from their best 12 races within 24 months. The woman or man with the most points will have the #1 rank. In a Ski Classics Pro Tour event, the winning woman and man receive 2.000.000 points; in a Challengers event, the winners collect 500.000 points.

For the Pro Team athletes, Podium Bonus Points are also awarded to the top three skiers in each gender. A Pro Tour event winner gets 200.000 points, 2nd place brings 100.000 points, and 3rd place awards 40.000 points.

Season XIV of Ski Classics Pro Tour consists of 14 events on 10 event weekends in 6 different countries.
