Emil Persson, Lager 157 Ski Team, leads the SC Ranking, the global ranking system for long-distance skiers, after La Venosta Pro Tour events last weekend.

Emil Persson started Season XV on top of the SC Ranking with 26.400.00 points. After the Ski Classics Pro Tour events in La Venosta – La Venosta Criterium and La Venosta ITT, the Swedish Pro Team athlete keeps the lead, now with 26.299.058 points.

In the SC Ranking, the global ranking system for long-distance cross-country skiers, Persson is followed by Ida Dahl, Team Engcon, in second place, with 26.178.763 points. Astrid Øyre Slind, Team Aker Dæhlie, is in third place with 25.943.280 points.

Among the Top 10, four Pro Team athletes are from Sweden, and six are from Norway.

Get to know how the SC Ranking system works!

The SC Ranking points are calculated on the percentual time as the skier is behind the winning time in their gender with an exponential drop of points. This makes it possible to create one single ranking for both women and men, professional and recreational skiers. 

Each skier can include results from their best 12 races within 24 months. The woman or man with the most points will have the #1 rank. In a Ski Classics Pro Tour event, the winning woman and man receive 2.000.000 points; in a Challengers event, the winners collect 500.000 points.

For the Pro Team athletes, Podium Bonus Points are also awarded to the top three skiers in each gender. A Pro Tour event winner gets 200.000 points, 2nd place brings 100.000 points, and 3rd place awards 40.000 points.

As a registered user, you can filter places based on nationality, age group, and gender by using the Filter Tab on the view set on your page.

Everyone participating in Ski Classics, Pro Tour or Challengers events, recreational and professional skiers can connect their profile to the Ski Classics results database, called MyPages.

MyPages can be connected when registering as a member of the Ski Classics online community ProXCskiing.com. In the profile, you can view your Ski Classics event results, collect pins, print diplomas, and analyze your results with friends in the SC Ranking system. You collect points according to your performances and are rewarded with pins and diplomas in your profile.

Ski Classics Pro Tour Season XV

The Season XV of Ski Classics Pro Tour consists of 15 events on 11 event weekends in 6 different countries. The season started in Bad Gastein, Austria, on December 9, 2023, and will end in Norway with the 100km Ski Classics Grand Finale Janteloppet on April 13, 2024.

Next up is the 3 Zinnen Ski Marathon in Italy on January 13, 2024. The event marks the fifth Ski Classics Pro Tour stage of Season XV.
