Sunday, August 25, it’s time for Ring Frei 2024. The Ski Classics Challengers event is a long-distance roller ski race in freestyle technique in Salzburg, Austria.

The Ski Classics Challengers event, Ring Frei, is taking place today at the Salzburgring in Salzburg, Austria, with a solid field of participants. The start lists can be found below.

Where once stars like Michael Schumacher, Keke Rosberg, Jochen Rindt, Niki Lauda, Gerhard Berger, Helmut Marko, and many others took their first rounds in race cars and motorcycles, a Ski Classics Challengers event on roller skis with 42km for men and 30km for women, both in freestyle technique, takes place at the Salzburgring, a motorsport racetrack.

For those who think 30 or 42km is too much, a 21km roller ski race and inline skating, scooter, skateboard, kick bike, inline hockey, summer biathlon, and competitions for handicapped athletes can be chosen. The organizers promise a fun event program to participants and spectators in the narrow alpine valley close to Salzburg.
