Registrations for Tana-Varangerrennet 2026 are now open!
Tana-Varangerrennet, a Ski Classics Challengers event in Norway, has opened registrations for its 2026 edition this Friday, July 11.
The 80km long-distance skiing race, Tana-Varangerrennet, takes skiers from Seida in Tana to VadsĂž, Norway.
Formally established in February 1997, the event has grown into one of the most iconic races in the region and is once again part of the Ski Classics Challengers circuit, with the 2026 edition scheduled for April 18.
The Local Organizing Committee highlights the unique nature of the race:
âAn 80km classic race in beautiful surroundings along the Varanger Fjord. It might be the northernmost âlongâ ski race on the mainland and one of the longest races in Norway. As one of the few ski races in the World, you can see the shore (the Varanger Fjord) while skiing on the tracks.â
Registrations opened on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 10:00 CEST.
