On Friday, December 13, 2024, the Ski Classics Pro Teams and their Pro Team athletes participating in the Pro Tour will be presented on stage at the Felsentherme in Bad Gastein ahead of Season XVI.

Here, the Pro Teams and athletes will showcase their brand-new race suits, unveil sponsors, and introduce athletes and recruits to the world of long-distance skiing.

“The Pro Team Presentation, we believe, is a good way to kick off a season; it will be held in the evening at the amazing venue Felsentherme Spa in Bad Gastein. The news this winter is that the presentation will have a full TV production and be a stand-alone event, even if no one wins and no points are handed out. It is also a good way for media to meet the Pro Teams before the ski events start, but of course, athletes will also use skis on the Team Presentation,” says David Nilson, Director of Ski Classics.

A Winter Paradise in the Austrian Alps

Bad Gastein is an important tourist location in central southern Austria in the Salzburg region, 80 kilometers south of the regional capital.

Contrasts and extremes characterize Bad Gastein: tradition meets modernity, untouched nature, and natural healing resources meet urban dynamics, art, and culture.

In addition, the location is unique: a waterfall in the middle of the village center, reminiscent of earlier times with magnificent buildings in the Belle Époque style, has made Bad Gastein the “Monte Carlo of the Alps.”

Felsentherme Bad Gastein

Felsentherme Bad Gastein is a renowned thermal bath that offers a unique blend of relaxation and natural beauty.

The spa is built into the rock, which gives it its name (“Felsen” means “rock” in German). The thermal waters have been attracting visitors for their healing properties for centuries.
