Pro Team athletes dominate Ski Classics Challengers Flyktningerennet

The Ski Classics Challengers event, Flyktningerennet, took place this Sunday with a 44km long-distance skiing race in classic technique across the Norwegian-Swedish border. Check out the results.

After a snowy day, the Ski Classics Challengers event, which crossed the Norwegian-Swedish border from Nordli to Gäddede, Flyktningerennet, saw a fierce fight for the podium places. Nils Dahlsten, Lager 157 Ski Team, and Hedda Bångman, Vltava Fund Ski Team, won their respective races with solid performances.

Flyktningerennet – 44km Men’s Race 

In the men’s competition, the winner was Nils Dahlsten, Lager 157 Ski Team, after a tight sprint finish, with a total time of 2:05:16.4.

Marcus Johansson, also from the Lager 157 Ski Team, finished in second place, 0.4 seconds back, followed by Johannes Eklöf, Team Ramudden, 0.8 seconds behind the winner, and completing the podium in third place.

  1. Nils Dahlsten, Lager 157 Ski Team, 2:05:16.4
  2. Marcus Johansson, Lager 157 Ski Team, +0.4
  3. Johannes Eklöf, Team Ramudden, +0.8

Flyktningerennet – 44km Women’s Race

In the women’s event, the winner, Hedda Bångman, Vltava Fund Ski Team, is back to the top, completing the race at 2:18:52.5 in a solo breakaway.

Masako Ishida, Team BSV Ibex, finished in second place, 1:08.5 behind. Karolina Hedenström, Lager 157 Ski Team, completed the podium in third position, 3:44.0 back.

As the 44km race is a Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team registered athletes could collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective genders.
