Lager 157 Ski Team organized a long distance ski season premiere in Orsa Grönklitt, Sweden, the location for the Pro Tour Prologues next month. The team took home victories both in the men and women’s races as Emil Persson and Britta Johansson Norgren turned out to be the fastest skiers this weekend.

Persson won the race by beating Team Ramudden’s Max Novak in a sprint finish while Johansson Norgren soloed to victory well ahead of Team Ramudden’s Lina Korsgren.

“It’s always fun when everything works out well. The result isn’t that important, but the way I felt on the tracks tells me more,” Johansson Norgren said after the victory.

She also admitted that she is now back in shape and able to perform at her highest level. She looked very strong all the way and was able to break away from the reigning Champion Korsgren and left her minutes behind. Laila Kveli from Team Engcon was third.

In the men’s race, a sprint finish was expected, and Persson was able to cross the finish line before Novak, but Lager 157 Ski Team’s Marcus Johansson and Eddie Edström and Team Eksjöhus’ Axel Jutterström were close behind. The visiting two Norwegians Stian Hoelgaard, Team Curira, and Joar Thele, Team Ragde Charge, were beaten by the aforementioned Swedes.
