New Skier For Team Eksjöhus
“We are incredible happy to present Magni Smedås as Team Eksjöhus skier for the coming weekend in Visma Ski Classics. Magni is a fantastic all-round skier with both speed and distance qualities that we believe suits long-distance skiing extremely well,” says Espen Traeldal, Team Eksjöhus Sports Director.
Magni Smedås is a 26-years old Norwegian national team skier, represents Lillehammer Ski Club, is part of Team Elon Innlandet, and now strengthens the Swedish Pro Tour Team Eksjöhus.
“I look forward to starting on long-distance races for Team Eksjöhus this winter and hope to improve at long-distance skiing as well,” says Smedås.
Magni goals on traditional cross-country skiing are the World Cups and her favorite distance is 10km freestyle, but in recent years her best results came in the sprint freestyle.
Her best results in the World Cup are:
- 8th place – 10km F Davos World Cup 2019
- 11th place – Sprint F World Cup Ulricehamn 2021
- 20th overall – Tour de Ski 2020
This winter she has started at the World Cup in Dresden before Christmas.

Next up in the Visma Ski Classics is La Venosta Time Trial. The 10-kilometer classic race takes place in Italy on January 15, 2022.
