The Ski Classics Challengers event, Sovereign 2 SilverStar Ski Marathon Skate, took place this Sunday with a 41km long-distance freestyle skiing race in Vernon, Canada. Check out the results.

After a day full of action at the Ski Classics Challengers event in Canada, Sovereign 2 SilverStar Ski Marathon Skate, Alison Mackie, Edmonton Nordic, and Xavier McKeever, Foothills Nordic, won their respective races with solid performances.

Sovereign 2 SilverStar Ski Marathon Skate – Women’s Race

In the women’s event, the winner, Alison Mackie, Edmonton Nordic, completed the race at 1:59:13.0.

Anikken Gjerde Alnæs, Team Engcon/Rustad IL, finished in second place, 2:29.5 behind, followed by Lea Stabeak Wenaas, Sovereign Lake Nordic Club, completing the podium in third position and 3:00.0 back.

  1. Alison Mackie, Edmonton Nordic, 1:59:13.0
  2. Anikken Gjerde Alnæs, Team Engcon/Rustad IL, +2:29.5
  3. Lea Stabeak Wenaas, Sovereign Lake Nordic Club, +3:00.0

Sovereign 2 SilverStar Ski Marathon Skate – Men’s Race 

In the men’s competition, the winner was Xavier McKeever, Foothills Nordic, with a total time of 1:48:15.4.

Reid Goble, BSF Pro Team, finished in second place, 1.8 seconds back, followed by Maximillian Hollmann, Big Thunder Nordic, 2.6 seconds back, completing the podium in third place.
