Les Belles Combes 2025 is canceled
Les Belles Combes is a 42km long-distance ski race in classic technique taking place in the village of Les Moussières, situated in the middle of the Haut Jura Nature Parc, France. Now, due to adverse weather and snow conditions, it had to be canceled for 2025.
The Local Organizing Committee released a notice about the cancelation on their social media channel:
“Despite our optimism last week and our recent communication confirming the races, we are ultimately forced to permanently cancel our 2025 edition.
Making this decision is very difficult for our organization and our club, but we must be realistic…
The weather forecast, which was favorable at the end of last week, has completely changed, leaving us little hope of organizing our event under conditions worthy of Les Belles Combes. Added to this are administrative issues that are making it increasingly difficult to organize a race “by the book.”
Unfortunately, we have fallen victim to our own determination to hold the event for your enjoyment and were too optimistic in the first place. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused.
Registered participants for our 2025 edition have the option to either receive a refund or transfer their registration to next year.
We would like to thank all our partners, as well as the grooming team from the Haut-Jura Saint-Claude community, who did their best to maintain the trails in good condition.
We hope to see you next winter under more favorable conditions.”
