Latloppet Madona, a 32km Ski Classics Challengers event planned to take place in Madona, Latvia, on March 3, 2024, is now canceled due to unprecedented warm weather and rainy conditions.

Latloppet Madona, a 32km Ski Classics Challengers event planned to take place in Madona, Latvia, on March 3, 2024, is now canceled due to unprecedented warm weather and rainy conditions.

The 32km long Latloppet Madona takes place annually in the surroundings of Madona, but due to adverse weather conditions, with warm temperatures and rain, it had to be canceled for 2024.

The Local Organizing Committee released a notice about the cancelation on their social media:

“ATTENTION! Due to unprecedented warm weather and rain, Latloppet Madona on March 3 is canceled!

The ski season never ends. We continue to train. Soon, you will be able to wipe the dust off your roller skis.”

A list of Ski Classics Challengers events for Season 2023/2024 can be found at Ski Classics. The list is updated continuously with new events.

Everyone participating in Ski Classics, Pro Tour, or Challengers events, professional and recreational skiers, can connect their profile to the results database of Ski Classics, called MyPages.
