König Ludwig Lauf Is Back This Weekend
The Visma Ski Classics Challengers event is a 50km long-distance race in classic technique and takes place this Sunday, February 6, in Oberammergau, Germany.
König Ludwig Lauf’s history goes back to 1968 and is one of Germany’s largest cross-country skiing races. In 2022, the event will again take place in the Valley of King Ludwig II.
Every year, around 4000 cross-country skiers worldwide experience the famous and beautiful Ammergauer Alps region. The Visma Ski Classics Challengers 50km course crosses the world-famous Ettal Abbey through the Graswangtal Valley to the Linderhof Castle. The race finishes at the Passion Play village in Oberammergau.

According to the Organizing Committee, König Ludwig Lauf is happy to welcome cross-country skiers again at the Ammergau Alps Nature Park.
The event can take place as an outdoor event under the 2G Regulation, and all participants must be fully vaccinated or recovered. You can still register online until February 2, 2022, as late entries on-site are not possible this year.
