After the women’s race on Saturday, the Grönklitt 50k ITT Men takes center stage on Sunday, March 8, 2026 – Event 9 of the Ski Classics Pro Tour Season XVII.

Following the same course and format, the men will also face 50 kilometers of solo effort in the longest individual time trial ever in Ski Classics. With no team tactics and no margin for error, this event is a pure test of individual strength and determination.

The terrain in Grönklitt is demanding, with a 553-meter highest point through forested landscapes, offering an ideal setting for a breakthrough performance. Athletes will need to manage their effort carefully over the full distance and fight for every second as precious Pro Tour points are up for grabs.

Orsa Grönklitt trails are known for their quality and varied profiles, and the venue continues to play a key role in the Scandinavian leg of the Pro Tour.

This unique doubleheader, featuring two back-to-back long-distance ITTs, is a bold move that adds depth and diversity to the calendar while offering a new kind of challenge for Pro Team athletes.

“We are incredibly excited to be part of making history together with Ski Classics. Hosting the first long-distance race with an individual start feels both significant and inspiring – and we truly look forward to being part of the journey ahead. We also hope many Pro Teams stay in Grönklitt between Vasaloppet and Birken, enjoying our ski track system fully,” says Tomas Bredberg, Head of Cross-Country Skiing at Orsa Grönklitt.
