The Ski Classics Challengers event, Furusjøen Rundt-Rennet, is a 45km long-distance race in classic technique taking place this Saturday, February 15, 2025, in Kvam, Norway.

Furusjøen Rundt-Rennet runs in a fantastic terrain on Kvamsfjellet, located at the entrance to Rondane National Park, one of Norway’s most beautiful mountain areas.

Every year, hundreds of skiers participate in Furusjøen Rundt-Rennet, which has three distances, 45km, 20km, and 12km, all in classic technique.

The 45km is part of the Ski Classics Challengers series and a seeding race for Vasaloppet, Birkebeinerrennet, and Marcialonga.

According to the Local Organizing Committee, in 2025, Tord Asle Gjerdalen will be on the start line and also sharing his experiences in a lecture on Friday evening.

“The Furusjøen Rundt race also gives you the opportunity to gain inspiration and motivation from Tord Asle.

The evening before the race, Tord Asle shares his experiences as a world-class skier in both traditional cross-country skiing and as a long-distance skier, and what it takes to perform in long-distance skiing for the recreational and elite skiers.

You can get Performance Boost at Kirketeigen Camping in Kvam, Friday, February 14 at 8:00 PM. Welcome!”

Best Moments 2024

As the 45km race is a Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team registered athletes can collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective genders. 

A list of Ski Classics Challengers events with confirmed dates for season 2024/2025 can be found at Ski Classics. The list is updated continuously with new events.

Everyone participating in Ski Classics, Pro Tour or Challengers events, and professional and recreational skiers can connect their profile to the results database of Ski Classics called MyPages.

MyPages can be connected for free. In the profile, you can view your Ski Classics event results, collect pins, print diplomas, and analyze your results with friends in the SC ranking system. In your profile, you collect points according to your performance and are rewarded with pins and diplomas.
