The French sprinter has come close to beating Johannes Høsflot Klæbo several times, was on the podium at this year’s Tour de Ski, and took bronze at the Planica World Championships sprint last season. Now France’s super sprinter is ready for the Ski Classics and will debut in the Pro Tour circuit at Marcialonga in a week and a half.

Jules Chappaz has signed a contract and is joining the French Pro Team, Team Nordic Expérience. Stay tuned for an exclusive interview with Jules Chappaz soon on ProXCskiing.com.

The French 24-year-old has never raced an event longer than 30km. Chappaz is now registered for the 70km long Marcialonga in northern Italy in a week and a half, and it will be his first long-distance race.

The sprint specialist will then race at least three more Pro Tour events: the 50km Reistadløpet, the 60km Summit 2 Senja, and Ski Classics’ new Grand Finale Janteloppet of 100 kilometers.
