The German Pro Team Endless Local Nordic Team has prepared for the upcoming season in various places in Europe. Some of the team members have already been able to log in a lot of kilometers on snow while the others have continued training on roller-skis on their home turf in Germany.

Almost the whole team came together for a training camp in Ramsau am Dachstein, Austria, for a week of great skiing, trail running and roller-skiing, mostly undertaking long and easy endurance sessions. According to the team director Robin Frost, their camp went well, and the spirits were high. 

After the camp, Patrick Ottilinger moved to Livigno, Italy, for some days to get high altitude training. Christian Winker chose the same location for his preparation for the winter, and he has been in Livigno for a few weeks. While these two skiers have enjoyed the perks of the tax-free zone in Italy, Julia Rohrer and Carl Wagner decided to go to Val Senales where they had a chance to do high altitude skiing on a glacier.

In mid-November, Florian Goebel, Florian Rohde, Josua Strübel and Robin Frost left Germany behind and headed up north. Their destination was the Pro Tour finale locations Ylläs and Levi in Finland. The skiers were extremely pleased with the conditions in the land of Santa Claus.  

“Due to the amazing conditions and the perfect tracks, we could ski a lot and the interval sessions were on a high level. These opportunities to be on snow have lifted our motivation after a long dryland training period,” Frost says.

The team captain and Floria Rohde have had some health problems this fall, and their training has not been a smooth ride.

“We both hope to recover and be ready for the Visma Ski Classics season opening in Orsa. For the other athletes the training intensity is rising from week to week, and the whole team is looking forward to the Prologue races in Sweden and all the other Ski Classics events. Josua Strübel and Christian Winker will start their racing season at the FIS events in Santa Caterina Valfurva. Both want to qualify for the Alpen Cup races before joining the team for the Visma Ski Classics races in January,” Frost sheds some light on his team’s next steps.

He also says that they really want to be able to fit in some regional long distance events in their calendar in addition to the Pro Tour ones. König Ludwig Lauf, Koasalauf and Ganghoferlauf are possible races to participate in. This German Pro Team is busily reading themselves for Season XII while also fulfilling their duties for everyday jobs.
