Eglītis and Jēkabsone winners at Ranka Kartonfabric Ski Marathon 2025

The Ski Classics Challengers event, the Ranka Kartonfabric Ski Marathon, took place last Saturday with a 50km long-distance skiing race in freestyle technique in Ranka, Latvia. Check out the results.

The Ski Classics Challengers event, the Ranka Kartonfabric Ski Marathon, took place last Saturday with a 50km long-distance skiing race in freestyle technique in Ranka, Latvia. Check out the results.

After a day full of action, one of Latvia’s Ski Classics Challengers events, the Ranka Kartonfabric Ski Marathon, saw a fierce battle for all the podium places. Ultimately, Viesturs Eglītis, RKF Sports Team, and Aija Jēkabsone won their respective races with solid performances.

Ranka Kartonfabric Ski Marathon – 50km Men’s Race

In the men’s event, the winner, Viesturs Eglītis, RKF Sports Team, completed the race in a total time of 2:30:42.4.

Mareks Birkentāls, Raimaks, finished in second place, 37.3 behind, followed by Jānis Zvaigznītis, JS Dream Team, completing the podium in third position and 1:32.6 back.

Ranka Kartonfabric Ski Marathon – 50km Women’s Race 

In the women’s competition, the winner, Aija Jēkabsone, completed the event in a total time of 3:24:54.6.

Sandra Volodina, Gulbene, finished in second place, 20:38.0 behind the winner.
