Countdown To Klarälvsloppet and La Venosta Skiroll Challengers

The Ski Classics Challengers events Klarälvsloppet and La Venosta Skiroll start in one month. The 90km Klarälvsloppet will take place in Sweden, and the 30km classic rollerski event La Venosta Skiroll will take place in Italy, both on September 25.

Klarälvsloppet is a 90km long rollerski event in Karlstad. The event is Sweden’s longest rollerski race, and the course cuts right through the Värmland countryside following the river Klarälven, an 90km asphalted nature trail.

The race uses classic technique and welcomes both elite and recreational participation. The 2022 edition is the fifth one taking place, which already attracts many of the top athletes in the long-distance skiing world.

There are also 60km and 21km rollerski distances and running and cycling events on the same weekend. The 90km event is seeding for Vasaloppet and is part of the Ski Classics Challengers series.

On the same day, Sunday, September 25, La Venosta Skiroll will take place in Curon Venosta, Italy.

La Venosta Skiroll becomes part of the Ski Classics Challengers circuit with a 30-kilometer-long classic rollerski race in September in Italy.

Hidden in South Tyrol, close to the borders of Switzerland and Austria, La Venosta Skiroll starts in Glurns, Italy. From there, professional athletes and recreational skiers will rollerski around the scenic Langtauferer Valley before crossing the finish line after 30 kilometers in the picturesque village of Melago.

La Venosta Skiroll will take place for the first time on September 24 and 25. On Saturday, a sprint race around the dam in St. Valentin auf der Haide is on the program. On Sunday, September 25, it’s time for the Ski Classics Challengers event, the 30-kilometer-long classic mass start race. On the same day, a shorter 10-kilometer race is also on the program. The organizing committee welcomes all participants and promises to provide an unforgettable experience for each participant and spectator.
