The Ski Classics Challengers event Tanumsloppet is a 40km long-distance roller ski race in classic technique taking place this Saturday, August 10, 2024, in Tanumshede, Sweden.

Tanumsloppet takes place in Tanumshede, in the west of Sweden, and once again, as a Ski Classics Challengers event.

The Ski Classics Challengers event is a 40km long-distance roller ski race in classic technique, and the organizers invite professional athletes, recreational skiers, and youth athletes to an event with an enjoyable course with scenic landscapes and a good road surface.

The roller ski track is relatively flat and suits all levels of roller skiers. The main race distance, part of Ski Classics Challengers, is 40km, while a shorter distance of 22km is also offered.

According to the Local Organizing Committee, during the race, participants can enjoy typical “BohuslĂ€nsk” nature with open landscapes and small mountains on the way.

Tanumsloppet is also a seeding race for Vasaloppet.

As Tanumsloppet is a Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team registered athletes could collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective genders. 

A list of Ski Classics Challengers events with confirmed dates for season 2024/2025 can be found at Ski Classics. The list is updated continuously with new events.

Everyone participating in Ski Classics, Pro Tour, or Challengers events, professional and recreational skiers, can connect their profile to the results database of Ski Classics, called MyPages.

MyPages can be connected when subscribing to Ski Classics online community proxcskiing.com. In the profile, you can view your Ski Classics event results, collect pins, print diplomas, and analyze your results with friends in the SC ranking system. In your profile, you collect points according to your performance and are rewarded with pins and diplomas.

One of the central features of MyPages is that you get your global SC ranking. The SC Ranking is a live updated international ranking, unique in combining women and men, professional and recreational skiers in one single list.
