Calle Halfvarsson and Emma Ribom Winners At Alliansloppet

The Ski Classics Challengers event Alliansloppet, a 48km long-distance rollerski race in classic technique, took place today with a strong starting field.

The Ski Classics Challengers event Alliansloppet, a 48km long-distance rollerski race in classic technique, took place today with a strong starting field.

Many Ski Classics Pro Team athletes matched their skills with World Cup skiers in Trollhättan, Sweden. After a day full of action, the Ski Classics Challengers event saw Calle Halfvarsson and Emma Ribom, from the Swedish National Team, win the race with solid performances.

In the men’s competition, the winner was Calle Halfvarsson, Swedish National Team, with a total time of 1:48:28.2. Amund Riege, Team Ramudden, finished in second place, 2 seconds behind. Thomas Joly, Team Nordic Expérience Coste – Fromageries Marcel Petite, 2.2 seconds back, completed the podium in the third position.

  1. Calle Halfvarsson, Swedish National Team, 1:48:28.2
  2. Amund Riege, Team Ramudden, 1:48:30.2
  3. Thomas Joly, Team Nordic Expérience Coste – Fromageries Marcel Petite, 1:48:30.4

In the women’s race, Emma Ribom, Swedish National Team, with a time of 2:09:53.0, won ahead of Astrid Øyre Slind, Team Aker Dæhlie, in second place and 0.3 seconds back. Magni Smedås, Team Eksjöhus, 1.8 seconds behind, finished in third place.

  1. Emma Ribom, Swedish National Team, 2:09:53.0
  2. Astrid Øyre Slind, Team Aker Dæhlie, 2:09:53.3
  3. Magni Smedås, Team Eksjöhus, 2:09:54.8

As Alliansloppet is a Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team registered athletes could collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective gender.
