Botniavasan 2024
The Ski Classics Challengers event Botniavasan, planned to take place on February 8 in Finland, has been postponed to March 15, 2025.

Botniavasan is a cross-country, long-distance skiing event held around Vörå in Finland. The event was first held in 2006 and is held in February each year. Due to the lack of snow this winter, the event is now postponed to March 15, 2025.

The main race, part of the Ski Classics Challengers series, is 52 km long, and the event has been named after Vasaloppet in Sweden. Botniavasan is also a seeding race for Vasaloppet. The classic style route is suitable for recreational as well as competitive skiers.

According to a press release from the Local Organizing Committee, the event is postponed to a later date due to lack of snow.

“Due to bad snow conditions, Botniavasan will be postponed to March 15, 2025.”
