Bogdanovičs and Klepere winners of Ranka Kartonfabric Ski Marathon

The Ski Classics Challengers event, Ranka Kartonfabric Ski Marathon, took place this Sunday with a 50km long-distance skiing race in freestyle technique in Ranka, Latvia. Check out the results.

After a day full of action, the Ski Classics Challengers event in Latvia, Ranka Kartonfabric Ski Marathon, saw a fierce battle for the podium places. Māris Bogdanovičs, Hengxiang Cycling Team, and Aiva Klepere, Ziemeļkurzeme OK, won their respective races with solid performances.

Ranka Kartonfabric Ski Marathon – 50km Men’s Race 

In the men’s competition, the winner was Māris Bogdanovičs, Hengxiang Cycling Team, with a total time of 2:35:20.6.

Ivo Irbe, AERIFY, finished in second place, 2:48.6 back, followed by Pēteris Misiņš, RFK Ski Team, 3:05.7 behind the winner, and completing the podium in third place.

Ranka Kartonfabric Ski Marathon – Top 5 Men

  1. Māris Bogdanovičs, Hengxiang Cycling Team, 2:35:20.6
  2. Ivo Irbe, AERIFY, +2:48.6
  3. Pēteris Misiņš, RFK Ski Team, +3:05.7
  4. Viesturs Eglītis, A2 Jaunpiebalga, +3:25.3
  5. Uldis Klepers, OKZK, +3:48.4

Ranka Kartonfabric Ski Marathon – 50km Women’s Race

In the women’s event, the winner, Aiva Klepere, Ziemeļkurzeme OK, completed the race in a time of 3:07:37.9.

Aija Jēkabsone finished in second place, 13:10.6 behind, followed by Mārīte Kājina, Raitie, completing the podium in third position and 35:07.2 back.

As the Ranka Kartonfabric Ski Marathon is a Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team registered athletes could collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective genders.
