The Ski Classics Challengers event, Bessemerloppet, took place this Sunday with a 52km long-distance skiing race in classic technique in Högbo Bruk, Sweden. Check out the results.

The Ski Classics Challengers event, Bessemerloppet, took place this Sunday with a 52km long-distance skiing race in classic technique in Högbo Bruk, Sweden. Check out the results.

After a day of action, the Ski Classics Challengers event in Sweden, Bessemerloppet, saw a solid fight for the podium places. Alba Björnsdotter, Team Ramudden, and Andreas Svensson, Ulricehamns IF, won their respective races with solid performances.

Bessemerloppet – 52km Women’s Race

In the women’s event, the winner, Alba Björnsdotter, Team Ramudden, completed the race in a time of 2:33:58.8.

Madelene Nord, Team DPONLY AccessiQ, finished in second place, 3:04.5 behind, followed by Maja Eriksson, Team Ramudden, completing the podium in third position and 3:33.1 back.

Bessemerloppet – Top 3 Women

  1. Alba Björnsdotter, Team Ramudden, 2:33:58.8
  2. Madelene Nord, Team DPONLY AccessiQ, +3:04.5
  3. Maja Eriksson, Team Ramudden, +3:40.6

Bessemerloppet – 52km Men’s Race 

In the men’s competition, the winner was Andreas Svensson, Ulricehamns IF, with a total time of 2:07:54.6.

Bruno Dettmann, Lager 157 Ski Team, finished in second place, 1.4 seconds back, followed by Markus Hallén Johansson, Offerdals SK, 8.7 seconds behind the winner, and completing the podium in third place.

  1. Andreas Svensson, Ulricehamns IF, 2:07:54.6
  2. Bruno Dettmann, Lager 157 Ski Team, +1.4
  3. Markus Hallén Johansson, Offerdals SK, +8.7

As the Bessemerloppet 52km race is a Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team registered athletes could collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective genders.
