Zelta Klasika 50 – 2024

The Ski Classics Challengers event, Zelta Klasika 50, took place this Sunday with a shortened 40km long-distance skiing race in classic technique in Piebalga, Latvia.

After facing an adverse weather forecast, the Ski Classics Challengers event in Latvia, Zelta Klasika 50, had to be shortened from 50 to 40km (2x20km). After a challenging day out in the tracks, Raimo Vigants, SSK Bebra, and Anda Muižniece, SSK Bebra, won their respective races with solid performances.

Zelta Klasika 50 – 40km Men’s Race 

In the men’s competition, the winner was Raimo Vigants, SSK Bebra, with a total time of 2:18:25.6.

Martin Nassar, Päidre Puukool, finished in second place, 2:18.4 back, followed by Rait Pallo, AT Sport, 4:20.7 behind the winner, and completing the podium in third place.

Zelta Klasika 50 – 40km Women’s Race

In the women’s event, the winner, Anda Muižniece, SSK Bebra, completed the race in a time of 3:03:36.6.

Žanete Leimane finished in second place, 3:38.8 behind, followed by Merle Lilleoru, completing the podium in third position and 5:36.6 back.
