Beatty and Drolet Winners of Sovereign 2 SilverStar Ski Marathon Skate

The Visma Ski Classics Challengers event Sovereign 2 SilverStar Ski Marathon Skate took place this Sunday with a 40km race in freestyle technique in Vernon, Canada.

The Visma Ski Classics Challengers event Sovereign 2 SilverStar Ski Marathon Skate took place this Sunday with a 40km race in freestyle technique in Vernon, Canada.

The Visma Ski Classics Challengers event saw Dahria Beatty, Whitehorse Ski Club, and Rémi Drolet, Black Jack Ski Club, win the race with superior form.

In the women’s race, Dahria Beatty, Whitehorse Ski Club, with a time of 1:57:22.2, won ahead of Katherine Stewart-Jones, Nakkertok Nordique, in second place. Laura McCabe, Methow Valley Nordic, finished in third place. 

In the men’s competition, the winner was Rémi Drolet, Black Jack Ski Club, with a time of 1:43:17.6, with Scott Hill, Hardwood, in the second place. Jack Carlyle, Soo Finnish, completed the podium in the third position.

As Sovereign 2 SilverStar Ski Marathon Skate is a Visma Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team registered athletes could collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective gender.
