The Visma Ski Classics Challengers event American Birkebeiner is a 50km race in freestyle technique and you can watch live here at ProXCskiing from 15:00 CET, race start at 15:30 CET.

The most anticipated time of winter season has arrived in the USA with the American Birkebeiner, North America’s largest long-distance cross-country ski race and the first American event to be part of the Visma Ski Classics Challengers.

American Birkie, part of the Visma Ski Classics Challengers circuit, is a 50km long-distance race in freestyle technique, starting in Cable at the American Birkebeiner Trailhead. As the skiers near the finish line, they make their way over the American Birkebeiner International Bridge, finishing in the heart of Hayward, Wisconsin.

To get a sense of the event size, since its foundation in 1973, over 250.000 skiers finished American Birkie ski events, and approximately 40.000 spectators and skiers gather each February in the area for the Nordic sports festivities to celebrate the determination and perseverance of Birkebeiner Warriors.
