The Ski Classics Challengers event Alutaguse Maraton takes place this Sunday, February 9, 2025, in Vasavere, Estonia. Get to know more about the event.

Alutaguse Marathon is a 43km long-distance ski race in classic technique and Estonia’s first Ski Classics Challengers event.

The event has over 20 years of experience and is one of the most significant cross-country skiing events in the Baltics. Every year, approximately 800 skiers from around the World come to the beautiful surroundings of the Alutaguse National Park in Vasavere, Estonia, to take part in the Alutaguse Marathon.

Alutaguse Marathon is a two-day event, and in addition to the 43km main race on Sunday, a Ski Classics Challengers event, there is also 9km and 21km events for women and 10km and 21km night races on Saturday, kids race (500m and 2km), and a 21km classic technique race on Sunday.

Ski Classics Challengers

As the Alutaguse Maraton 43km race in classic technique is a Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team registered athletes can collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective genders. 

A list of Ski Classics Challengers events with confirmed dates for season 2024/2025 can be found at Ski Classics. The list is updated continuously with new events.

Everyone participating in Ski Classics, Pro Tour or Challengers events, and professional and recreational skiers can connect their profile to the results database of Ski Classics called MyPages.
