Sunday, March 6, it’s time for Vasaloppet with its 100 years of history. The 90km Visma Ski Classics race is Season XII’s tenth stage and third Grand Classics event, and takes place in SĂ€len-Mora, Sweden.

Vasaloppet 2022 starts at 8:00 CET this Sunday in SÀlen, with almost 16000 participants, with the Pro Teams, men and women, standing together at the same start area.

The course has several feeding stations, and there are two Visma Ski Classics sprint checkpoints: the first one in MÄngsbodarna at the 24km mark and the second one in Evertsberg at 47km. There is also a Climb competition point after the first hill at the 3km mark. And after 90km, Mora is, of course, the world-famous finish location for this historic race.

Vasaloppet is not just the biggest ski race in the World; it is also one of the most significant sports events. The brand has evolved into an institution with annual winter and summer weeks, with several events and activities.

The 90km main race on the first Sunday of March each year is the longest, oldest, and most prestigious ski race in Visma Ski Classics. It is the one that every Pro Team skier truly wants to win, as everyone knows that a victory in Vasaloppet makes you a cross-country skiing hero.

The Vasaloppet traditions and importance are not only within Sweden. Thousands of people from around the World take part in the event week each year and spread the long-distance skiing vibes across the globe.

With good cooperation over the years, Vasaloppet and Visma Ski Classics keep developing together, bringing 100 years of traditions and culture since 1922 and recreating that in a modern way.

Don’t miss out on the event, available on Ski Classics Play. The women and men start together at 8:00 CET.
