The Norwegian rollerski event Totenrullen is starting the Ski Classics Challengers season this weekend. The 60km classic rollerski race will take place Saturday, June 18, in Raufoss, Norway.
Ski Classics heads to Norway for Birkebeinerrennet on Saturday, March 18. The 54-kilometer classic race marks the twelfth stage and the fourth and final Grand Classics event of Season XIV.
Last Season, Team Robinson Trentino made history by becoming the first team with American athletes competing with its colors – Rosie Brennan, Scott Patterson, and Rosie Frankowski. Now, the Italian squad strikes again by signing the first American skier racing full-time at the Ski Classics Pro Tour.
“It all depends on who you are, where you are, and what you want to use the rollerski treadmill for,” says Audun Svartdal, technique coach for several of Norway’s best skiers.
Ski Classics continues with Vasaloppet on Sunday, March 5. The 90-kilometer classic race marks the eleventh stage, the third Grand Classics event of Season XIV, and 101 years of history in 2023.
There will be no Nordenskiöldsloppet next winter. “The goal is to come back again in 2024 with a new team that is ready to arrange an even better race,” the race organizer writes on their website.
Orsa Grönklitt welcomes Pro Teams and their athletes as the Ski Classics heads to Scandinavia with another back-to-back Pro Tour events weekend, Grönklitt Criterium and Grönklitt ITT – Individual Time Trial.
After being part of the Ski Classics Tour since Birkebeinerrennet 2019, Thea Krokan Murud puts her skis on the shelf. The Ski Classics event Ylläs-Levi was her last Pro Tour race.
