Parts ways with national team and equipment supplier
After leaving the national team, she now also ends her partnership with her ski supplier after ten years, ten World Championship medals, and two Olympic medals.
Earlier this week, French biathlon star Justine Braisaz-Bouchet announced her departure from the national team to pursue her own training program for the upcoming season. Now, she is also parting ways with her ski supplier: Braisaz-Bouchet is finished with Fischer.

“From my first World Cup victory in Grand-Bornand in 2017 to my 10 World Championship medals and 2 Olympic medals, Fischer has been a part of every step of my journey. Today, our paths diverge, and it is with immense gratitude and emotion that I reflect on all these years we’ve shared,” Braisaz-Bouchet wrote on social media.
The 29-year-old from Albertville expressed her gratitude for the collaboration and the time spent with Fischer.
“Thank you to everyone who has supported me through thick and thin, who has always believed in me and helped me push my limits. Everything we have accomplished together will always hold a special place in my heart.”
Braisaz-Bouchet has not disclosed which brand she will switch to.

Another star leaves
Braisaz-Bouchet is among several athletes parting ways with Fischer this year, including fellow French biathlon star Quentin Fillon Maillet, who also announced a brand change this week.
Earlier this spring, Iivo Niskanen confirmed he is done with Fischer after winning Olympic gold and spending years on yellow skis.

Troubled season
The French biathlete has had a challenging season, returning from the Olympics in Italy with a best result of 27th place.
Braisaz-Bouchet became a mother during the 2022/2023 winter season and has been clear about the difficulties of balancing motherhood with her career.
She has also been candid about the impact of the credit card scandal involving her national teammate Julia Simon, who was convicted last fall for fraud and theft against her and several others in the French national team.
The scandal shocked the entire biathlon community. Simon was sentenced to three months of suspended prison and fined 15,000 euros. Additionally, the French Ski Federation (FFS) decided to suspend Simon for six months, five of which were conditional. They also imposed a 15,000 euro fine on Simon. She returned to the national team in December, won four medals at the Winter Olympics, and finished third in the overall World Cup standings.
