The Ski Classics Pro Tour Season XVII is set to captivate skiing fans with an exciting and diverse lineup of events. Spanning 13 events over 9 weekends in 6 different countries, the winter season promises full action and memorable racing. Below is the complete calendar for 2025/2026. 

The Pro Tour Season XVII kicks off in Bad Gastein, Austria, on December 13, 2025, with the return of a familiar format: the Bad Gastein Pro Team Tempo. The season concludes in Finnsnes, Norway, with the Ski Classics Grand Finale Summit 2 Senja on March 29, 2026.

Bad Gastein Weekend

The Pro Tour winter season opens once again in the picturesque setting of Bad Gastein, Austria. On Saturday, December 13, 2025, the season begins with the Bad Gastein Pro Team Tempo, which returns to the Pro Tour calendar after a one-year hiatus. On Sunday, December 14, Pro Team athletes will face the challenging Bad Gastein Criterium, concluding the first segment of the season before Christmas and the New Year.

Switzerland, Italy, and a historic moment in the Czech Republic

After the holiday break, the Pro Tour resumes in Switzerland with the Engadin La Diagonela on Saturday, January 17, 2026. The 55km long-distance race is known for its breathtaking scenery and intense competition.

The circuit then heads to Italy for the first Grand Classics event of Season XVII, Marcialonga, on Sunday, January 25, concluding the Alp segment of the winter.

One week later, the focus shifts northeast for a historic moment: the first-ever sprint competition in Ski Classics history. The Bedřichov Sprint, a 1.5km double poling race at the Bedřichov Ski Stadium, will take place on Friday evening, January 30, as part of the Jizerská50 program.

On Sunday, February 1, it’s time for the second Grand Classics event, Jizerská50. The Czech events will be the central/eastern European segment before heading to Scandinavia.

Scandinavian segment after the Winter Olympics

After the February break for the Winter Olympic Games, the Pro Tour resumes in Sweden for another Grand Classics event, Vasaloppet, on Sunday, March 1, 2026. One of the pillars of long-distance skiing, Vasaloppet brings together thousands of athletes every year.

Next, the circuit moves to Orsa Grönklitt, also in Sweden. The Orsa Grönklitt 50k ITT marks the first-ever 50-kilometer individual time trial in the Ski Classics Pro Tour history and sets a new benchmark for long-distance ski racing with an individual start.

At the Orsa Grönklitt 50k ITT Women, the skiers will tackle the full distance solo on Saturday, March 7, followed by the Orsa Grönklitt 50k ITT Men on Sunday, March 8, on the same course and format.  

The Nordic finale

As the season enters its decisive phase, the last Grand Classics event, Birkebeinerrennet, on Saturday, March 14, is set to leave a lasting impression. The final Grand Classics event, Season XVII, will be followed by Marcialonga Bodø on Saturday, March 21, featuring urban surroundings and breathtaking Arctic nature.

The season closes with a spectacular Norwegian double: Reistadløpet on Saturday, March 28, and the Ski Classics Grand Finale Summit 2 Senja on Sunday, March 29, 2026. The Grand Finale Summit 2 Senja is the 13th and final event of Season XVII, bringing athletes, Pro Teams, and fans together for a grand celebration. 

Grand Finale: Open also for recreational skiers

The 2026 edition of the Grand Finale Summit 2 Senja will once again be open to up to 250 recreational skiers outside the Pro Team field.

Qualification requires completing at least one Pro Tour race within the winner’s time plus 50% (for the skier’s gender) or two Ski Classics Challengers events within the same time frame. Qualified athletes will receive a Grand Finale coin in their MyPages account, unlocking registration access to the event.
