The Norwegian Olympic Committee has named four additional cross-country skiers and five more biathletes to the 2022 Olympic team.

The four Norwegian cross-country skiers named to the 2022 Olympic team on Monday afternoon are Pål Golberg, Sjur Røthe, Mathilde Myhrvold and Anne Kjersti Kalvå.

All of these racers impressed the national team coaches with solid performances in the Tour de Ski stage race from December 28 through January 4.

The four new athletes join the 12 cross-country skiers who were named to the team earlier this season: Maiken Caspersen Falla, Helene Marie Fossesholm, Hans Christer Holund, Emil Iversen, Therese Johaug, Johannes Høsflot Klæbo, Simen Hegstad Krüger, Håvard Solås Taugbøl, Erik Valnes, Heidi Weng, Lotta Udnes Weng and Tiril Udnes Weng.

Norway has a quota of up to 16 cross-country skiers to the 2022 Olympics: Eight men and eight women. With Monday’s announcement, the team is complete.

Five additional biathletes
The Norwegian Olympic Committee also announced five additional biathletes to the 2022 Norwegian Olympic team. The five biathletes are Filip Fjeld Andersen, Sivert Guttorm Bakken, Emilie Ågheim Kalkenberg, Karoline Offigstad Knotten and Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold.

The five new athletes join the seven biathletes who were named to the team earlier this season: Johannes Thingnes Bø, Tarjei Bø, Vetle Sjåstad Christiansen, Tiril Kampenhaug Eckhoff, Ida Lien, Sturla Holm Lægreid, and Marte Olsbu Røiseland.

The 2022 Olympics take place in Beijing from February 4 to 20. Last week, the International Olympic Committee and the Beijing Organizing Committee announced that the 2022 Olympics will not be postponed or cancelled
