Lager 157 Ski Team finished 4th place overall at the Pro Team competition Season XV. Now, the Swedish Pro Team presented its squad for the upcoming Ski Classics Season XVI.

The Swedish Pro Team, Lager 157 Ski Team, is entering its eleventh season and presented its squad this Monday for the upcoming Season XVI. 

Similar to last season’s lineup, the changes are that Jenny Larsson is joining the women’s side, and on the men’s side, the athlete leaving is Torleif Syrstad. 

Jenny Larsson was a member of Team Ragde Charge for the past few seasons but is now taking a step back to Sweden and the Lager 157 Ski Team.

Larsson’s most significant achievement so far is the win at Engadin La Diagonela in 2021. Still, she has shown over the seasons that she is one of Ski Classics’ top skiers.

Four women’s athletes will be included during the dryland season, but three will start at Ski Classics Season XVI.

“We will run a ‘selection’ during the summer months. We’ll come back on how it will be organized. We are very happy to be able to invest in our young and promising women’s team and then add Jenny Larsson,” says Pro Team Director Anton Järnberg to Langd.se.

On the men’s side, it’s the same lineup as last season, except for Syrstad, who left the Lager 157 Ski Team after two seasons. 

“There is nothing to hide. We would have liked to keep Torleif, but we have not found a solution. We had a strong team last season, mainly at Marcialonga and Vasaloppet, and showed strength as a team,” says Järnberg.

And how much will Alvar Myhlback be involved?

“He’s at the camp now and will be at a few camps during the dryland season. He enjoys being part of this team. And then we’ll see him in Ski Classics from time to time during the winter. But his and our goal is to help him in his efforts in traditional cross-country skiing, as he wants to attend the World Championships in Trondheim. Then I expect we will see him in Ski Classics, especially in the latter part of the season, says Järnberg to Langd.se.
