The long sessions are the basis of a successful Vasaloppet. In the new article, Langd.se’s coach Daniel Tynell shares his training tips that will take you all the way to Mora.

Are you racing at Vasaloppet this winter? Vasaloppet legend Daniel Tynell shares his training tips: key sessions, technique, and tactics – until Vasaloppet on March 5, 2023.

Daniel Tynell has won Vasaloppet three times, one of only a handful to achieve this feat in the race’s over 100-year history. Tynell has been on the Vasaloppet’s podium seven times and among the top seven, ten times.

Vasaloppet Training With Tynell

Daniel Tynell is now a coach on our Swedish sister site Längd.se. During winter, Tynell goes through everything, from double poling technique to mental preparations, what it takes to perform at your best and which key training sessions should be included in the run-up to Vasaloppet.

Tynell brings training advice and recommendations for both elite and recreational skiers – whether you start in the first wave and are chasing a new personal best or far behind and want to complete the 90km race in style.

In today’s training article, Tynell answers the questions about long training sessions and the benefits of starting on seeding races before your main goal, Vasaloppet.
