Alvar Myhlback and Magni Smedås Winners At Tanumsloppet

The Ski Classics Challengers event Tanumsloppet, a 40km long-distance rollerski race in classic technique, took place today with a strong starting field.

The Ski Classics Challengers event Tanumsloppet, a 40km long-distance rollerski race in classic technique, took place today with a strong starting field.

Many Ski Classics Pro Team athletes matched their skills on a hot summer day in Tanumshede, Sweden. After a day full of action, the Ski Classics Challengers event saw the young Alvar Myhlback, Lager 157 Ski Team, and Magni Smedås, Team Eksjöhus, win the race with solid performances.

In the men’s competition, the winner was Alvar Myhlback, Lager 157 Ski Team, with a total time of 1:27:38. Max Novak, Team Aker Dæhlie, finished in second place, 21 seconds behind. Thomas Gifstad, Team Robinson Trentino, 48 seconds back, completed the podium in the third position.

  3. Thomas Gifstad, Team Robinson Trentino, 1:28:26

In the women’s race, Magni Smedås, Team Eksjöhus, with a time of 1:38:28, won ahead of Hedda Bångman, Team Nordic Experience, in second place and 3:43 back. Linnea Johansson, Lager 157 Ski Team, 4:49 behind, finished in third place.

As Tanumsloppet is a Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team registered athletes could collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective gender.
