The top favorites for the Olympic gold are Johannes Høsflot Klæbo from Norway, currently the overall leader of the cross-country skiing World Cup, and Alexander Bolshunov, from the Russian Olympic Committee.

The duo is not the only favorites. We can also mention Klæbo’s teammates Simen Hegstad Krueger, Sjur Roethe and Hans Christer Holund. Bolshunov’s teammates Ivan Yakimushkin, Artem Maltsev, and Denis Spitsov are also solid names for the medals.

With the absence of Iivo Niskanen from Finland, who won’t start, interesting to keep an eye on Andrew Musgrave from Great Britain; French duo Clement Parisse and Maurice Manificat; German trio Friedrich Moch, Lucas Boegl, and Jonas Dobler; and Swedish trio Calle Halfvarsson, Jens Burman and William Poromaa.
