Dundret Runt, home of the Ski Classics Challengers event Sparbanken Nord Classic, opens registrations for the 2027 edition on Sunday, November 15, 2026.

The Dundret Runt weekend takes place in Gällivare, Sweden, on April 3 and 4, 2027, with races starting and finishing at Hellnerstadion at the foot of Dundret. The program includes Sparbanken Nord Classic over 47km in classic technique, along with Dundret Runt events over 13km, 30km and 50km on April 3, and the children’s race Barnens Dundret Runt on April 4.

Dundret Runt has been a fixture of the Gällivare ski calendar since 1965, when the first edition gathered 228 participants at the foot of the mountain. The event has grown into one of Sweden’s best-known spring ski traditions, drawing skiers to Swedish Lapland every April for a race across the marshlands and forests surrounding Dundret, with views toward Sarek and Kebnekaise along the way.

Sparbanken Nord Classic is the competitive long-distance event of the weekend and part of the Ski Classics Challengers calendar. As a Ski Classics Challengers event, it allows Pro Team registered athletes to collect points toward the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective genders.

Registrations for all Dundret Runt events open on Sunday, November 15, 2026.
