Germany has named 14 cross-country skiers to the 2022 Olympics: eight women and six men are headed for Beijing in February.

Germany has named 14 cross-country skiers to the 2022 Olympics: eight women and six men are headed for Beijing in February.

Germany’s Team to the 2022 Olympics consists of 14 athletes. 

While very few of the German skiers headed for Beijing have previous Olympic experience, several of them have posted strong results in the first part of the 2022 World Cup. 

21-year-old Friedrich Moch impressed with third place in the brutal hill climb on the last stage of Tour de Ski.

The 2022 Olympics in Beijing start on February 4, and conclude on February 20. 

Despite the recent surge in Covid infections, the IOC and the Beijing Olympics organizing committee announced that the 2022 Olympics will not be cancelled or postponed

However, extremely strict anti-covid restrictions will be in place. Also, earlier this week, Chinese authorities suspended all sales of all tickets to the general public
