This Italian Pro Team, run by a former long distance skier Bruno Debertolis, has become an international unit with athletes from five different countries. The only Italian in the team is Chiara Caminada, who has raced in Visma Ski Classics for many years now. She did four races last winter, of which Jizerska Padesatka’s 26thplace was her best.
The five international recruits have diverse backgrounds in skiing. Thomas Gifstad from Norway has been around for quite some time, and his best result is 10th place at Vasaloppet in 2018, and 39th last season. Nicole Donzallaz from Switzerland has participated in many Pro Tour events, but only one last season, which was Vålådalsrennet where she finished 22nd.
Patrick Fossum Kristoffersen has proven to be a strong roller-skier with several podiums at the World Cup for roller-skiing. Frida Erkers was a promising junior athlete with her 10th place in the 10 km free technique race at the Junior World Championships in 2015. The Russian athlete in the team Dmitriy Bagrashov did six races last season and performed well as his best result was 21st at Jizerska Padesatka and the worst was 45th at Vasaloppet.
